Child Care Foundational Training Subsidy

Funding to subsidize the registration cost for the newly revised child care foundation trainings ended on August 31, 2025. The subsidy funding was provided by the Wisconsin Department of Children and Families (DCF).

As a reminder, the CCFT Subsidy Program ended Sunday, August 31, 2025.

Approved events for August 2025 must have attendance verified and be marked complete by August 31, 2025, to be eligible for subsidy reimbursement. No exceptions will be made for those who incorrectly verify attendance or do not mark events as complete.

From July 2024-August 2025,  the Wisconsin Department of Children and Families provided a subsidy to CCFT Trainers. This capped registration fees for CCFT courses at $50 to allow individuals to complete foundational training to meet training requirements for position qualifications at a lower cost. Thank you to the Wisconsin Department of Children and Families for providing funding for this subsidy.

See the DCF Approved Training Agencies Offering Noncredit Child Care Courses publication and the Wisconsin Registry Statewide Training Calendar for the list of currently approved agencies offering CCFT courses.

Additional information, including information related to FAQs, is available on the DCF website.
