Free Child Care Foundational Training

Beginning June 1, the Department of Children and Families (DCF) is funding free Foundational Child Care Training. This exciting program will provide accessible and affordable training and support to new child care professionals in an effort to improve the workforce shortage in child care.

The Child Care Foundational Training courses covers the following non-credit trainings delivered in an interactive online, interactive correspondence, and in-person format:

  • Introduction to the Child Care Profession
  • Fundamentals of Infant and Toddler Care
  • Fundamentals of Family Child Care
  • Skills and Strategies for the Child Care Teacher
