    T-TAP Course Series Train the Trainer Information

    The T-TAP Course Series Train the Trainer will be a three-day event, featuring one in-person day and two virtual sessions. The cost of the training is $20 and will be limited to 50 attendees. If you are interested in attending, you must attend all three days

    About the Event

    When? The T-TAP Course Series Train the Trainer will be a three-day event. The in-person day will be Wednesday, August 30 from 9:00 am until 3:30 pm, with registration starting at 8:30 am. The two virtual days will be Wednesday, September 6, and Wednesday, September 13 from 9 am until noon. 

    Where? The in-person event on Wednesday, August 30 will be held at Mid-State Technical College, Community Engagement Room (CER 634/635) in Stevens Point. The virtual sessions will be held via Microsoft Teams. 

    Who? The T-TAP Course Series Train the Trainer is for anyone looking to become a T-TAP Course Series instructor. To become a T-TAP course series instructor, you must: 

    • Have experience as an adult educator/trainer providing a minimum of 200 hours of Tier level training 
    • Be a Registry Level 13 or higher
    • Have successfully completed the T-TAP Course Series as a participant 
    • Hold a current Tier 3 Trainer Endorsement in the Wisconsin Registry
    • Be proficient in creating and presenting your own training content
    • Have the Language Endorsement if proficient in a second language and are planning on training in your second language

    T-TAP stands for Trainer - Technical Assistance Professional. Visit this page for an overview on Trainers and Technical Assistance Professionals in the Wisconsin Registry system. 

    This training event is for individuals who will train the T-TAP Course Series to others. 

    No. This event is for individuals who commit to being an instructor of the revised T-TAP course series and offering this training to others. To attend this event you must already be a Tier 3 Trainer and meet the other qualifications to be an instructor of this content.

    To qualify to become a T-TAP Course Series instructor:

    • Have experience as an adult educator/trainer providing a minimum of 200 hours of Tier level training
    • Be a Registry Level 13 or higher
    • Have successfully completed the T-TAP course series as a participant. This can be any version of the T-TAP Course Series, but the revised 2023 T-TAP Course Series is highly recommended.
    • Hold a current Tier 3 Trainer Endorsement in the Wisconsin Registry.
    • Be proficient in creating a presenting your own training content.
    • If you are planning a training in a language other than English, have the Language Endorsement specific to that language.

    The first day is a full day in-person session, with no virtual option. The remaining two days are offered virtually in half-day sessions.

    No. The T-TAP Course Series Train the Trainer materials are a guiding framework and supporting documents. You will need to develop your own courses using high quality adult learning principles, maintaining fidelity to the course requirements. You will need to develop your own course outlines/instructional plan and presentation materials such as PowerPoints.

    The cost for the Train the Trainer event is $20 and includes both the in-person and virtual sessions. 

     

    Yes. To be an instructor of the T-TAP Course Series, you will need to attend all three sessions.

    Yes. However, future offerings will depend on demand. There is no guarantee that the cost and Train the Trainer format will remain the same.

    You will need to offer the T-TAP Course Series as an instructor every two years or you will lose your T-TAP course series instructor status and need to attend another Train the Trainer event.

    Yes. Even if you only plan to offer two of the courses, it is important for you to be familiar with the content of the third course to avoid overlap of content.
